When he arrived at Muzara, he was taken before the chief clansman of the tribes. They explained to him that before they accept his position as a negotiator he must first prove himself. The task they ask of the is to retrieve a bag of coins from the ruins of Kabus-Dabeh, built by an ancient people the Muza consider to be evil. Keval realized that in order to gain the trust of the peoples, he must comply with their request. Setting off for Kabus-Dabeh, Keval began the long journey over plains, rivers, and canyons. Finally reaching the ruins, Keval began his search for the bag.

In his search for the coins, Keval came into contact with a dark beast residing in the ruins, but remembering his role as a Jedi, Keval leaves the beast be rather than slaughter it. The accuracy of the following course of events is not high, but it is assumed that Keval Raffaan retrieved the bag of coins and was able to negotiate terms between the Muza and the Brentaal League settlers. This assumption is based on the fact that the Muza and the settlers continued to ask for the Jedi's assitance to help them with problems in the future. One thing is for sure however, Keval Raffaan was an essential part of the Jedi Order, using his skills as a diplomat to resolve conflicts without the use of force.
